Support the FSO

By becoming a Friend of the FSO you are helping us to continue to perform exciting programmes of live music, attract world-class soloists and play a broad range of repertoire.  Without your support the FSO would simply not have the resources to do this.  Our Friends’ donations allow us to hire music that is still in copyright, not to stint on extras, perform in professional-standard music venues, and much more.  All our Friends can pick up their complimentary programmes and tickets from a dedicated welcome desk at our concerts and are invited to occasional drinks receptions when we celebrate FSO milestones.

Introducing “Young Friend” of FSO – £35

Our Young Friend package is for under 18s and students in full-time education.  The price includes a season ticket, complimentary programme for each concert, reserved seating for the Young Friend & paying guest at each concert, and your name in the programme.

Bronze Friend of FSO – up to £30 (or £50 for Joint Friends*)

For a donation of up to £30 you will receive a complimentary programme for each concert and your name in the programme (please note tickets are not included in this package).

Silver Friend of FSO – £80 (or £150 for Joint Friends*)

Silver Friends receive a season ticket, complimentary programme for each concert, reserved seating for the Friend & paying guest at each concert, and your name in the programme.

Gold Friend of FSO – £100 (or £180 for Joint Friends*)

Gold Friends receive all the benefits of Silver Friends and also have an orchestral position dedicated to them in the programme – for example “David Nash – Chair supported by Mr A. Friend”

New – Platinum Friends and Family Package – £240

This new package is extremely flexible as it includes 12 tickets to be used at any concerts in the season instead of a single season ticket, allowing you to decide how many of the family would like to come to each or any of the four concerts.  The price also includes 12 complimentary programmes, reserved seating for all ticket-holders, and your name(s) in the programme.

* Joint Friend packages offer the benefits to two people, i.e. two season tickets, two complimentary programmes, reserved seating for both people and names in the programme

Recent News

Au revoir to Bob and Elaine

After 53 and 45 years with the orchestra respectively, we are saying au revoir to two stalwart members, Bob Perry and Elaine Herbert. We are immensely grateful for their playing, musical leadership, and friendship – they really are part of the fabric of the FSO and personify what a local amateur orchestra is all about. Bob’s wife, Wendy, also deserves a mention, for hosting many of our guests over the seasons, managing Front of House, and most recently accompanying the Mayor of Aldershot on our behalf at our centenary celebrations.

In recognition of their long service, and as we look forward to seeing them in the audience for many years to come, the FSO is delighted to offer Bob, Wendy and Elaine Honorary Friendship of the FSO.

Schools Ticket Giveaway Announced!

Calling all local secondary schools and sixth forms! FSO, with the support of the Elgar Society, is giving away FREE tickets for our wonderful concert at Princes Hall, Aldershot on 10th June!
