We are delighted to announce that Daniel Hogan has been appointed as the new Artistic Director of the Farnborough Symphony Orchestra (FSO). He will take up the post in September.

Daniel has been a regular guest conductor with the FSO since 2023, during which time he has earned the respect and admiration of players and audiences alike. His wonderful musicianship and thoughtful approach have led to some truly joyful performances and strengthened the orchestra’s artistic development.

Daniel brings with him a remarkable and rapidly growing reputation on the national and international music scene. Among his many achievements he was  one of 20 finalists for the 2025 Donatella Flick Conducting Competition and has conducted major ensembles including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (Emerging Conductors Showcase, June 2023), the London Philharmonic Orchestra (side‑by‑side project with the Royal Academy of Music), the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra in Czechia and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic in Estonia.

Daniel is the founder of Sinfonia Perdita, a young professional orchestra dedicated to exploring neglected repertoire. Their debut studio recording—Schumann’s Violin Concerto with Laure Chan, recorded at Abbey Road Studios—was recently released.

We are excited to embark on this next chapter under Daniel’s artistic leadership and look forward to the continued growth and inspiration he will bring to the orchestra.
