After celebrating its centenary season the FSO is rounding off a fantastic 18 months by marking its 100th birthday. Our November 2022 concert features Schubert’s Rosamunde Overture, which was the very first piece we played in our inaugural concert on December 13th in 1922, under the baton of Sir Ben Lockspeiser. After a cautious return to group music-making in 2021, we are delighted to be able to start off a full and exciting season in style. We have some wonderful music and guest conductors lined up for the rest of the season, and some exciting developments which will be announced soon.
