Our popular Family Concert is back!

With a sparkling programme of family favourites, and including a piece composed by local youngsters, this promises to be an afternoon of mystery, magic and imagination. Let us transport you as Hansel and Gretel trick the witch, Mowgli and Baloo explore the jungle, Elsa transforms her world into ice and the naughty apprentice gets more than he bargained for when the Sorcerer pops out! Will you survive a night on a bare mountain or be swept away by a majestic iceberg?

Dress up as your favourite character, bring your families and let music cast its spell on you!

Au revoir to Bob and Elaine

After 53 and 45 years with the orchestra respectively, we are saying au revoir to two stalwart members, Bob Perry and Elaine Herbert. We are immensely grateful for their playing, musical leadership, and friendship – they really are part of the fabric of the FSO and personify what a local amateur orchestra is all about. Bob’s wife, Wendy, also deserves a mention, for hosting many of our guests over the seasons, managing Front of House, and most recently accompanying the Mayor of Aldershot on our behalf at our centenary celebrations.

In recognition of their long service, and as we look forward to seeing them in the audience for many years to come, the FSO is delighted to offer Bob, Wendy and Elaine Honorary Friendship of the FSO.

Schools Ticket Giveaway Announced!

Calling all local secondary schools and sixth forms! FSO, with the support of the Elgar Society, is giving away FREE tickets for our wonderful concert at Princes Hall, Aldershot on 10th June!
