Second Oboe Vacancy

The Farnborough Symphony Orchestra is looking to recruit a second oboe/cor anglais player.

We are a friendly amateur orchestra, performing an exciting symphonic repertoire to a high standard with our new Artistic Director, Daniel Hogan.

We are looking for someone who plays the oboe and cor anglais to grade 8+ standard and who would enjoy becoming a regular member of the orchestra.

Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings in North Camp, Farmborough, with concerts in the Farnborough/Aldershot area four times a year.

Daniel Hogan Appointed Artistic Director

We are delighted to announce that Daniel Hogan has been appointed as the new Artistic Director of the Farnborough Symphony Orchestra (FSO). He will take up the post in September.

So-Ock Kim becomes Honorary Patron

We are delighted to announce that So-Ock Kim has agreed to become an Honorary Patron of the FSO. So-Ock has been a regular soloist with the orchestra since 2016, and has appeared as a soloist with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera North, the City of London Sinfonia, and the London Mozart Players.
