In common with most music societies we are always conscious of the need to keep the Orchestra on a secure financial footing. Our aim has always been to encourage the appreciation of good orchestral music and to bring it to the widest possible audience. Staging exciting concerts is an expensive enterprise, and the costs are very rarely met by ticket sales alone. Additional funding, from grants, sponsorship and donations, is always needed. There are the several ways in which you can help.

Sponsorship

Businesses or individuals can sponsor the orchestra for a whole season or an individual concert. Our concerts are widely publicised throughout the Rushmoor/Hart area through the local media and through the distribution of flyers in local libraries, shops and information centres and via our annual brochure. This can be an excellent way of promoting good public relations in the area, and provides a good opportunity for corporate entertaining at a more personal level. Please contact us to discuss your particular objectives and how we can work together to achieve them. Contact our Sponsorship Secretary.

Patrons

We have a loyal band of patrons who have supported the orchestra for many years through their generous donations. Our gratitude is registered in each concert programme (although being listed is not mandatory), and Patrons are entitled to request specific seats at concerts, attend occasional rehearsals and come to our AGM at the end of the season. You can become a patron simply by making an annual donation of around £30 or more. Contact our Patrons Secretary.

Giving

Like any other charitable organisation, we are always delighted to receive donations – large or small – from any organisation or individual that wishes to support the work of the orchestra. Please contact us.
