Season Tickets for the 2011/12 Season Now Available

Brochures for the FSO's 90th birthday season have just been published and season tickets are now available to purchase.

Please contact our Ticket Secretary on 07775 789477 or through the website. The 2011/12 season promises great excitement and some orchestra firsts. A major highlight is the silent film "The General" with live orchestral accompaniment - believed to be a first for amateur orchestras in the UK. The climax of the season is the 90th birthday prom concert in June 2012 which combines some novel instruments (three vaccuum cleaners and a floor polisher) with a first collaboration with Hart Voices.

Earlier concerts include first performances by the orchestra of the moving and musically demanding 3rd Piano Concerto by Rachmaninov and the little known but inspiring Concertino for two harps by Parish-Alvars. Every concert in the 2011/12 season boasts something a little special so why not take advantage of the season ticket "4 for the price of 3" offer?
