The Orchestra was presented with the award on Saturday by the Mayor of Rushmoor, Councillor Alex Crawford, who attended the final concert of the symphony orchestra’s season in Princes Hall,Aldershot. In his speech, the Mayor remarked on the long history of the Orchestra in Farnborough and paid tribute to the excellence of their music making.

Commenting on the award, Leader of the Orchestra, Tessa Welford said, “We are delighted that our contribution to music in the Rushmoor region has been recognised. As a group of dedicated musicians, we love live performance and it is rewarding to be able to share the experience with a loyal audience drawn from this locality.”
