Listen to Samples
Below are examples of music being played by the orchestra. Two playback options are offered. The first uses a Adobe Flash® music player that will stream the music to your PC, avoiding a delay before the music can be played back. However, this option will only work if you have flash player installed; if you're using Internet Explorer 7 you will also need to have allowed scripts to run on the page. If you see this symbol -
- I'm afraid you will not be able to run the flash player.
The second playback option is simply to select the loudspeaker icon -
- which will download an MP3 format file to your PC. Note that these files are quite large and there will be a noticable delay as the file is downloaded before the music starts.
Brigg Fair - Delius
Subtitled "An English Rhapsody", this piece is a series of 17 variations on a Lincolnshire folk song, "Brigg Fair". The two clips, which were recorded live at the Princes Hall, Aldershot, in November 2005, give contrasting samples of the orchestra's performance.
